The Record
Every vote, jury score and administrative action is written to an append-only log in which each entry seals the one before it.
A seal is a fingerprint of the whole record up to a moment in time. We publish one when voting closes and another after the ceremony. If anything in the log were altered, removed or back-dated afterwards, the fingerprint would no longer match — so these two values let anyone confirm the published result is the one that existed when voting shut, without being given access to the underlying data.
